The Top Line

This year's Retreat focuses on the top line.  As the recession eases, smart CEOs are finding ways to grow the top line, leading to greater profits and building more value.  This may be the most valuable conference you attend all year.  Nowhere else can you immerse yourself in two or three days of CEO-only learning and connecting at this price.  And the setting of Kingsmill Resort allows you to be "away" from the day to day -- without buying a plane ticket.

We bring in thought leaders for the main stage, but plan equal time in small groups applying the ideas and tools these presenters bring to us.  Take a couple of days and see how what you do at this Retreat can propel your business in 2012 and beyond.

Main Stage Presentations

Jack Daly  “Building a Winning Sales Culture”

Jack Daly is an expert in sales and sales management inspiring audiences to take action in customer loyalty and personal motivation. He delivers explosive keynote and general session presentations.

Jack brings 20 plus years of field proven experience from a starting base with the CPA firm Arthur Andersen to the CEO level of several national companies. Jack has participated at the senior executive level on six de novo businesses, two of which he has subsequently sold to the Wall Street firms of Solomon Brothers and First Boston. As the head of sales, Jack has led sales forces numbering in the thousands, operating out of hundreds of offices nationwide.

Amy Case   “Delighting Your Customers For Fun & Profit:  NPS Demystified”

Net Promoter Score (NPS), measuring likelihood a customer will recommend you to friends or colleagues, is the single metric best correlated to company growth.  Amy Case – growth strategist – explains what NPS is, why it matters, and how it can help you profitably grow your business through more consistently delighting your customers.  Discover the key steps to initiating your own successful NPS effort.  Through lessons learned from globally recognized firms, and with a case study of a $3MM healthcare services organization, find out how NPS can be used to improve your business strategy and execution. You’ll leave this session ready to get started, prepared to avoid the pitfalls, and positioned for accelerated growth.

Amy Case is Managing Director of Case Strategy.  She formerly worked with NPS creator Fred Reichheld at Bain & Company, and is an expert on NPS.

Panel Discussion  “Recession Confessions:  A CEO Panel Tells All”

Steve Kimball, of Inc. Navigator and Tuscan Advisors, will moderate this panel of CEOs who achieved growth and success during the recession.   The panel will include at least one VACEOs member as well as innovative CEOs from elsewhere.

Alan Beaulieu “The Economic Outlook, and What You Can Do About It”

Back at our CEO Retreat by popular demand, Alan Beaulieau is an economist that makes sense to business owners.   One of the country’s most informed economists, Alan Beaulieu is a principal of the ITR® where he serves as President. He is co-author of “Make Your Move”, a book on how to increase profits through business cycle changes.  Alan is also the Senior Economic Advisor to the NAW, Chief Forecaster for the European Power Train Distributors Association and the Chief Economist for HARDI.  Mr. Beaulieu has been providing workshops and economic analysis seminars to literally thousands of business owners and executives for the last 20 years throughout 7 countries.
